Bert, looks like you can do the same as Jay suggests, turn your phone sideways to stretch the keyboard.

Yes.  That doesn't look bad at all.  The black berry I had use of was an older one.  The newer ones seem to be smaller with tiny little buttons.  I've seen them where one button does two letters, like a toggle switch.  I'm not so sure I could type any quicker on it than I could on the virtual screen of an iphone.

Personally I still like a phone with the keyboard so I'm using the Sprint Samsung Moment. I wish the EVO had a pull out keyboard and I'd get it.

Just to make sure;  When you email on one of these phones, does the message show up on the desktop as well or is it more like texting?

My emails that come to my home computer come also to my phone.  My emails from my phone do not show up on my computer.

You can definitely make your emails from your phone show up on your computer Jay. Setup your home & phone to use IMAP rather than POP.
