TOPIC: Client asking about radon test on their own...

I have a client that emailed me this:

"It sounds like a radon test isn't really feasible with the time frame we have.  Would it be possible, if we wanted to, for us to bring one along and pick it up ourselves at a later time but include it in the final inspection report if there was an issue?  We have rented them from the county before for our current home so we can rent one again from there."

Any thoughts?  I'm inclined to say they can go for it, but it will not be included in the report by me.

They can do their own if the sellers let them but in NO way should you include it on the report and take responsibility unless you administer it and know that it was done properly.

If the client does the test, why would it go on the report anyway?

That was my thinking too.  I'm not putting anything in my report that I didn't do/see/hear/smell/etc.
