Today's report took a little longer as I am somewhat out of practice. (About 90 minutes)

The report took you 90 minutes or are you 90 minutes out of practice?  :)   90 minutes for a report is quicker than what I am able to do.

90 minutes total report time. Typically a 8 year old house would take me about 45 minutes. This one had more photos (60) then the average 8 yr house.

I have saved 5 minutes using the auditors sketches instead of drawing my own. Much easier to add a desktop photo than adding 10-20 lines.

I would be glad to share any info to help anyone with there report time.I am sure there are others out there with ideas as well.Thats what is so great about HIP!! People helping people.

Getting back into the groove.

75 photo, somewhat below average home with 2 kitchens, 2 fireplaces, 2 breezeways and a lot of issues.

60 minute report time. That is what I am talking about!!

Hugs and kisses for HIP.  :-*

The test is when I have 2 inspections in a day. It is great to get them done in a timely manner and still have a few hours to complete other tasks.

For any of you that use voice dictation, I have found that HIP responds very well in the photographic area to voice commands. When you have a large volume of photographs I usually get cross eyed "hunting-and-pecking". (I don't use a tablet)

One mouse click on the main category box and say "plumbing" and you're done!

Also keyboard shortcuts save the eyes.
Click the box, hit the first letter of the tab (keep hitting it if there are several similar first letters; electrical, exterior etc.) and you're done.

This works  well when you have several pictures in the same category, just click and type the letter.

I also add a "comment" tab in each section of plumbing, electrical, interior etc.
When I want to pile up all of the plumbing pictures together under the section page. Just click the subcategory box and type "C" (for comment), done!
