TOPIC: On second thought....

What would go through your mind..... I was on an inspection yesterday, when it was time to go into the crawl space. I got my gear on and on the way to the opening the home owner comments on how hot I must be and how miserable it was going to be in the crawl space. It was 104 outside. Just as I got into the crawl space the home owner runs in to the closet yelling, I poked my head back out and the owner tells me.... by the way we have been having problems with badgers going in and out of the crawl space.  

With some hesitation and being very cautious I inspected the crawl space. Seeing a few holes, but no badger. On the way out of the home I did thank the owner for making sure the crawl space was air conditioned for me. The badger had ripped a 2 foot hole in the side of the main duct line. Not very energy efficient, but did solve the problem of why the A/C was running all the time and they could not get there home very cool.

Holy crapolla,
I would never want to come face to face with a badger in a crawlspace.
If they were not happy with you it could be a very painfull experience.
Glad they airconditioned the space for you ;D

You sure there wasn't one in that duct?!

Don't think there was in the ducting, but the was what looked like a fairly fresh hole in the back corner of the home going under the foundation.
