TOPIC: My expierience so far to become a Certified Energy rater.

Re: My expierience so far to become a Certified Energy rater. 15 years 7 months ago #10167

Hey Dave

then we shall agree to disagree  8)

It is good to disagree sometimes. I have little expierience on blower doors and audits and in the learning process. I am still trying to figure out the pressure readings. Sometimes they use -50 pascals and 50 pascals in the same testing procedures.

Do you want a copy of a blower door manual? You can read it and then tell me how it works ;D

Hey David,

I have been where you are before. I commend you for posting your feelings here.

I recently teamed up with a former energy rater and blower door owner. Well, he said he would be my subcontractor and teacher if I get any jobs. I havent leaped out to become certified in this area yet. He told me the insurance and state license cost 3K per year. I havent confirmed any of the figures yet. He did point me to this site www.energyconservatory.com/support/support6.htm   for more info. I will ask him again for any additional information.

Thanx again for posting here.

Hey I am a novice here, but a month ago I knew nothing.

What is it that Srgt. Schultz said. " I know nothing and that is why I am here"

I disagree. He said "I know nothinnng. I know nothing!"
