TOPIC: Inspecting for the Bugs

I am new to the inspection game and have been looking into termite inspections.  Here in Oklahoma it is a separate license and insurance all together.  Most home inspectors try to stay away from or convert strictly to termite inspections around here.  I truly believe that for me to do well in this game I need to offer this service.  At this time I think I am going to find a good sub contractor to do the work for me as the license and education costs money.  I will then slowly progress to getting my own license and doing them on my own.

Licensing is only $70 a year in the state of Ohio and the education is a minimal expense.

I created a WDI template with HIP. (Until Dom comes up with something better)

I use a PDF merger that Dom sent to me and download thru HIP to my client.

Be careful if you sub out as you can be a third party liability.

I sub out my IR inspections and the first thing I did was talk to my insurance co and had the sub co put my co on their insurance too.

I'm figuring about $1000 for me to get me termite license.  That includes all the tests, schools, and a little more for unexpected items.
