Some days the weather is to cold or severe to use my Q1.
So I created a template of blank pages, had them laminated and a plastic binder ring made for easy use of the pages with dry erase markers. Now I need to figure how to use on exterior when it is wet so my markings do not bleed. Some days I feel like using blank pages and some I feel like using the Q1 computer. |

Those laminated pages look like a great idea. I may have to borrow that idea.

It was not my original idea. Another HIP user had the idea. Dominic refreshed my memory and I thought about the plastic ring binder. I look forward to using on my next inspection. Maybe Dom can invent a scanner that could take the laminate pages and implement them into the program. Good ideas shared by others can really be beneficial. |

How cold does it have to get before the Q1 stops working (technically computers love the cold, though humid would be bad)? Or is it that your mittens to keep your hands warm make your fingers too large to hit the buttons?

I have not had a problem with the Q in cold weather. It is more like you describe. Hard to enter data with cold hands. Also I do not like to use in rain/snow. I have setup in garage and added data from there.
I do not like to take Q in bad neigborhoods. East Cleveland can be bad. I need both hands to fend off the dogs. (Try to keep a supply of milk bones for emergencies) |
