TOPIC: Commercial Inspections

Hi Guys-Gals

How many of you do Commercial Inspections?

I have been doing commercial inspections for about 20+ years now. The real estate market is on fire right now, not since the late 90's early 2000's have I received so many calls, emails for quotes.

I have also started an association for Commercial Building Inspectors, Dom's Software is our preferred Inspection Software for Commercial Buildings.

If anyone has a Template I could look at I would surely appreciate it.

Been using HomeGauge since their inception but would like to gradually switch to using Dom's Software...It took me many years to create the perfect Template, but I plan on having both programs open so I can copy-paste my comments from program to the other.

And if anyone is does commercial inspections your more than welcome to browse my site.

Dale you could definitely recreate your template within HIP as well. Let me know what you think of the two commercial templates we have now.

I have not seen any Commercial Templates, I looked at the downloaded software, and I looked on the message board in the Template section below....I inspect generally Industrial Type Buildings, so I'll just copy and paste my comments from one program to another...regardless, I have to begin with a blank template anyway. I just wanted to see a Sample Report of any Industrial Type Building if anyone has one.

If you click on my inspection website(s) in my signature below, you'll see a Sample Commercial Report on my website at the Home Page...this building in the Sample is a close comparison of the type of buildings I usually inspect...20-60,000 sf. some occupied, most vacant.

If you're template is yours, and not HG's then send it to me and I'll have Dan make a HIP template out of it for anyone to use.

I did open the software and there is no commercial templates in your software I downloaded, unless I'm missing something, regardless, I will simply copy and paste, its simple, I type about 50% of the report, I make them personal specifically for the buyer(s).

I have found canned Inspector Speak does not bring in a six figure income, investors like sentences like I'm taking to them, it works very well, but I do have thousands of paragraphs, sentences, which can be altered in any way necessary by simply changing a couple words to fit the needs of the particular instance-situation, if you know what I mean.

Would rather not share-give away what I spent years making, but I will make it available to members of the National Association of Commercial Building Inspectors if they use your Software.

I don't have time to make the template this week, but I'm going to South America for a week starting Aug. 25th...so I figured I could make the Template in your Software while laying on the beach in Rio-- ;D

They're named InterNACHI ComSOP 1 and 2. They're a blend of ASTM and the NACHI ComSOP.
