Ray, it really depends on your area. As Bob Hintze commented, he does 3-4k a month in credit card sales. When you advertise it on your site, it gives you an advantage as people realize they can get the inspection now , pay later. Buying a house is expensive and people are always trying to save. It also reduced arguing over price as it's going on credit. You can also ask if they have a rewards card which reminds them that they can get points for getting an inspection done.
Mike, here's an email sent to me a few weeks ago by Mark Wahl: First National Merchant Solutions logo Protect your business and your customers Take the steps to protect your business by validating compliance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS). Reminder: Validation of compliance with the PCI DSS is required. The annual compliance validation fee is effective on your October 2009 statement. If you have not completed validation with Trustwave., to get started or complete the validation process visit www.getcompliantwithfnms.com/go . If you have already registered with Trustwave and completed validation - thank you. Take this important step toward protecting your business and your customer data. Noncompliance fees go into effect November 2009 statement for all customers not completing the validation process with Trustwave. Listen to a webinar on PCI. Do I have to download a program for this?
It asks me "How do you process credit card payments?" Here are my choices, but none seem to fit my situation. 1. I use a terminal that is connected to a phone line. 2. I use a telephone. I press the numbers on my phone or verbally speak the information. 3. I use a terminal connected to a high speed Internet connection. 4. I use a computer connected to the Internet (often referred to as a Virtual Terminal). 5. I use an alternate method that is not listed here. My clients usually enter the info. I may enter it myself once or twice a year. So would my choice be #4, the virtual terminal? |

I can't even do it, says my info is not in their records. Which is strange because I did it as they said and got the info from my statement

Because TrustWave is a 3rd party not related to the bank. I'm not sure how much ability they have to pull info from the bank. I tried to get them to pre-seed most of the answer based on the servers we're using but they couldn't do it.
