Bob Elliott has one of these cameras, but what do others think of it. I am really thinking about getting one so I can do the report as I inspect.

The 21x optical zoom sounds wonderful - great for "inspecting" an icy roof from the ground. If this camera was built waterproof, shockproof and dustproof, I would have paid the $500+ for it, but there ain't no camera like that on the market that I've found. Though I really like strong zoom capability (I have another cam with 14x), the "proof" features are more important to me, so I just got the Canon D20 (which has no wireless connectivity and only a 5x zoom), but it's too soon to tell if I like it enough to keep it in my arsenal....

I have the camera as well. I like it alot. However I use it mostly to do wind mits plus I use it as my back up.

The kicker I see is exactly the same thing that makes using a tablet or phone on-site. Winter in Minnesota gets cold...and stays cold. I keep some of the big hand warmers in my pockets to keep my camera and phone warm. Touchscreen doesn't work when it's -15 outside. In the house it would be a nice addition; but not real feasible from what I've seen for me.
