I would like to transfer the report I started onsite on my laptop to my office computer and finish the report there. :

Very simple to do. Copy the client file from C:\Program Files\Home Inspector Pro\Client Data onto a thumbdrive and to the same location on your other computer and you're set!

Hey Dom I just had a concern about what you just said. If he has done any report on his office PC that arnt on his laptop, he would lose those inspections. Is there something in the works that can get past that problem (outside of uploading to the server) and still transfer inspections from PC to PC?
I go in and save all my HIP files once a month to a backup file to avoid problems. Cant you merge two files instead of overwriting them in Windows? |

Each inspection has its own filename so you're not overwriting anything by copying it to another computer.
Dan, still the same thing, copy to inside the Client Data folder to copy an inspection and copy to Data folder if you're copying a license. Where you actually installed it doesn't matter. |

Okay that makes sense. The way it sounded was to copy the whole folder. But if you open the folder and copy everything inside of it, that would work. I wasnt really thinking about it that way.
See, thats why you make the big bucks! lol |
