TOPIC: Help deciding on computer

New inspector.  I have decided to purchase HIP but am having trouble on choice of mobile computer.  Think I have it narrowed down to either the 2goPC NL2 or the Motion CL900.  CL900 is not available yet but looks like it might be perfect.  Any advice or comment would be appreciated.  Thanks

They both look like good devices and you'll be happy with either. Here's the big difference.

2GoPC has a processor that's slightly faster, twice as much ram, and half the cost.
CL900 has no keyboard so it's lighter. This can be a pro or con depending on the person (they keyboard part)!

I think I will order the 2goPc.  Couple of questions on the unit options.  I was going to go with the 2 gigs of Ram and Windows 7 Pro.  Do I need office?  I have Office and Adobe Creator on my other computers.  Also, do I need to upgrade to a Solid State Drive?  If so, which one?  How about warranty?  Any thoughts?

No need for office, get open office if you REALLY need to (I wouldn't bother, just use google docs). 2 gigs is great. Solid state is nice, buy an extra expense. If anything, get the smallest size they have.

Warranty is great. $115 you get a complete replacement if it gets destroyed.

I am also considering getting the 2goPC and regarding your comment on not needing office, is this comment considering the new computer will be just used for home inspection use and not for normal everyday use such as e-mail, web surfing etc?
Also, I am considering switching to HIP software, (you already have my website CadillacHomeInspector.com) and I also wonder if there is a feature where you can enter your photos into the program "on the fly" as you are doing the inspection.
