To bad
It was worth a shot as my net book gets brighter that way. It is the Acer model though. I hope the tablet pays off for you,and would you say the screen is about the same brightness as a laptop ? |

Bob, I would say yes now on the day I had trouble seeing the screen it was very bright out there and hot about 107 and not a cloud in the sky. I used it the next day in Anaheim not as hot not as bright and they had shade there I could see the screen I am happy with it.

Ahh good point Bob. Unplugged most tablets and laptops decrease brightness to increase battery life. The button Bob is talking about will usually look like a sun with a + on it.

I have seen the models with the sun icon but mine does it by simply hitting FN and using the directional arrows for left and right .
I would imagine that eee figures it is better to save power .Now that I think of it I went with Acer for that reason,as non of the eee models on display had brightness control, but I would still be interested in one of these eee tablets. |

I talked to Dom earlier today about the HP TX2 tablet...12" screen, 320 HD and 4 memory...it's pretty light (checked it out at Best Buy) and looked pretty good. It's spendy (BB was $850) but compared to the Fujitsu's or Toshiba's or Dell's with similar assets, it's not bad. Ebay has a few as well...
