Hi folks:
I have not been here for some time ----been verrrrry busy Anyway I bought a laptop for the wife and it has Windows 7 on it. I've been using XP Every time she boots the computer up she gets the msn sign in thingy, I have used msconfig to get rid of it in XP but if I go to msconfig in Win 7 msn is not listed, so I can turn it off. Any ideas Cheers Doug |

MSN is one of the many services "Windows live ID" and it is a intricate part of Hotmail, and all the on line service offered by Microsoft and social network platform that have been set up by microsoft if you have a hotmail account, MSN account you will not be able to remove it, that is the only way you will receive your mail, each time it appears you will have to cancel it.
Also click on start, default programs and look through the sttings there, it maybe something you can do to not have it a part of your default programs. Fred Sweezer Sr 1-562-234-2689 fax 361-5996 www.linkedin.com/in/certifiedhomeinspection www.theLongBeachhomeinspector.com |

Right click on MSN Messenger in your task bar (bottom right) and under Options you should be able to set it to not start at Windows Startup. If this doesn't work let me know and I'll look into it some more as I don't have 7 on the machine I'm using right now.

Hi Dom: Thanks I gave that a try and there was no "options " to click. It's just a minor thing, having to close the thing on start up all the time Cheers |
