Hi Shawn,
Welcome to the message boards. This thread is all about the main computer that people are using for inspections, the CTL2go from CTLCorp.com. As far as the best software, click on Download Trial at the top of this site to try out the best! |

Dom,
Just wondering if you could answer a few questions about the tablet. I am going to buy one, but am wondering about the differences in Windows XP Home vs Pro, or if Windows 7 would be better. It seems that Windows 7 is easier as far as networking--what do you think would be best. I am going to use it for inspections. Thanks |

Hi Paul,
Welcome to the boards XP Pro is for businesses so the computer can join a domain. You definitely don't need that! Windows 7 is a better system but if you're just using the CTL2go for inspections I don't see a reason to spend the extra $100 on it. I'd rather see the $100 go into extra ram to make the computer zip along. If you don't mind spending the extra $100, go for it! It has a little better handwriting recognition as well (as it's built in). |

Hey Dominic,
So would it be better to get the extra ram or just go with the 1.6 it comes with? I'll be using the CTL2go for home inspections and for excell spread sheets on heat lose evaluations. I've called those folks 2 times and never hear back. Is there an extension I should be trying other than#223 - Matt Kents? |
