TOPIC: Second color for summary items

Second color for summary items 15 years 10 months ago #6497

A second button that will put the item in "defects" and thus the summary, with the color of these defects something other than red.  This is so an item that needs mentioning still shows up in the summary but as a secondary issue.

For example.

Electrical panel has numerous melted circuit breakers.  Red is definitely needed.

OR

The concrete chimney cap is starting to slightly erode or crumble.  There are no signs of leakage at time of inspection.  It is not cracking yet but it is something that will need to be taken care of in the next season or two.  It should be pointed out because it will be a larger than normal expense in the future but it isn't a "do or die" issue at this time.

There is nothing sweeter than the smell of fresh cut grass on a baseball infield, the click of a wooden bat and the taste of a hot dog at a warm sunny daytime double-header.

Stephen at that point you are talking about almost repeating the whole report, but without material comments.

Why not just change colors in the main report for that effect.?

Also you could add another section ,just for that with any title you like.
Remember you can move the sections in different order and change colors on everything.

Read my post again.  I want things to show up in the summary in two different colors.  At this time, you get the choice of 1 color.  I don't want different colors in the body of my report.  I don't want a separate section.  I want 2 colors for the summary.  The thread is a wish list.  That is my wish.  I fully understand how to move everything and color it what I want.  It just can't be done with multiple colors in the summary.

Already on the to-do list. Just trying to decide whether to make it a 3rd box (hard to fit on some monitors). Or just allow all text to be colorized (could end up being confusing).

Don't forget to start a new thread when you post something here so it can be discussed separately from the list.

No need for a new box, what about just another button that would post in the defect box which would automatically put it in the summary?  Probably too hard to make it nameable so just "summary" would work.

No time for the new thread.......  cookies are baking.  ;D

Sure rub it in that you're making new cookies and I have none. Hmm, and extra button is a possibility. I'm going to split this anyways to keep this cleaned up.
