Dominic,
Is it possible to print templates and view them in tree type format? Like a directory tree type format that shows the tiers of the template and selection options. BJ |

Printing a template with all narratives would be around 100 pages. Technically you could print the xml file but it wouldn't be pretty!

Gotcha - yah I see what you mean... hmmm... I suppose that a guy could developed a utility to interpret those files and format that however he wanted to, but I'm not sure it's necessary, I was just toying with some ideas and I thought it might be nice to see the entire template structure including the comment options/lists. ...the more familiar I get with your software the more I like it and the more curious I get about what it can do that I haven't figured out yet.
The flexibility is really nice I'd like to make a template that includes some reference information applicable to my state and perhaps specific to my local jurisdictions if necessary including section references to particular code excerpts, so that I can quickly review them from time to time for revisions and updates...it seconds as cheat sheet for those areas, details, or particular systems that you don't see everyday as well. It'll be a lot of fun working with this program. Quick question - is it possible to create dynamic lists? The selection in list X drives the resulting selections in list Y and within a particular panel or comment to narrow down on pertinent details? |

I guess I could just generate a report with every option selected...

Hi Barry,
I'm not sure what you're looking for with dynamic lists. Can you give me a few real examples? |

Well the more I've thought about it there are a couple of options. For example; if you had a selection panel for HVAC and the Heater/Furnace type, if you selected "Natural Gas Furnace" the Damage Panels would narrow down to thing relevant to Gas Furnaces. The other example would be within the "Lists", if you had two lists in a narrative and you selected "Natural Gas Furnace" in the first one it would narrow down on relevant selection in the second list. I imagine it would be a fairly significant overhaul to the current code, but for those with a wide variety of narratives it would save some time filtering through them finding relative comments.
