There's no such thing as images that dynamically resize based on the monitor resolution (theme 3 uses a trick by repeating an image over an over). That's why the largest image you want would be 800 pixels wide.

Fixed the image issue for you. You had created a 2nd table and it wasn't aligned. I just copied the images into the first table.

thaks Dom, I tried to just add another box to the first table but couldn't get it. Then I made the 2nd one and couldn't get it to line up with the first one.

So, if I wanted an image in my header from one side to the other, that would be how wide? I'm guessing I have to use this dimension when taking the pic and then crop it somehow? Or am I all confused again?

You'd want the total width to be 800 pixels. Use photoscape to resize other images to get them down to that width.
