I adjusted the weight but the button did not move. I was not able to drag/drop in the Menu's. I am thinking it would need to be added as a block first, then dragged and dropped?

No, you just drag/drop the + at the beginning when looking at Admin->Menus. With the weight make sure you're making it a lower value to move up, higher to move down.

okay, that works. Then it disappeared. I went back to Menus under Admin, found it in Navigation, clicked Edit. Another blog page had been selected as the parent item, and a weight of -50 had been applied. (maybe it was automatic, since I selected neither of these). I reselected parent as navigation, I think it's right now.
