Oh, Dom, just throwing this out there, but if one of your resolutions for the 3px wide gap is to increase the height of the header image by 3px, thus making it a 800 x 120 instead of a 800 x 117, then don't hesitate on my behalf. I can resize my image by 3px in less then 10 minutes. I made sure to keep my psd file for my header so I can modify it in the future.
