TOPIC: New NOVAhi Residential Template and Report

Re: New NOVAhi Residential Template and Report 13 years 2 weeks ago #44772

I was thinking from the client's perspective that it may be easier for them to picture when they read the report.

As I look at some of the examples of these reports I wonder if the client will be overwhelmed by a 30 page report or prefer the detail (I'm the latter).  What feedback have you received on report length/detail?

Greg,

I build my template almost verbatim to the ASHI SOP. ? i.e. I's a system by system template. Generally, you are not going to get two inspectors to agree on this issue. Just do what you are comfortable with — and produce the best product (report) for your client. IMO success in this business comes from exceeding the client’s expectation when you perform the inspection — then 'blow him away' with your report! This is where HIP’s flexibility exceeds.

Hello Serge,
I really like your format. I downloaded the template but I don't see the "conventions and terms used" page. There is a drop down button under "General Information" but when I select it the page is blank.
Any help would be appreciated!

Thank you,
Theo

The documents are stored separately from the template. You can copy and paste it into notepad, then paste it into a HIP document.

Where?

As Theodore asked, the "conventions and terms" text is not in the documents folder.

That's not what you asked. I answered your question, but since you're confused, I'll answer his question.

Serge's NOVAHI Template 1.tpz (or any downloaded template) does not include the documents. They are on Serge's computer in his documents folder. You must create your own documents and assign them to the template accordingly.

Open the NOVAhi Sample 041009.pdf and copy the text from the "Conventions and Terms" page. Go to "Edit Documents", then "Add New Document", and paste the copied text and save the template.

As Dominic already said:

Or, as a business owner, you could do some work and actually create you own content  ::)
