TOPIC: Moving items from one Template to another

You can just make a copy of the app file and then open it with the copied file. You can use the File->Import Inspection to merge templates. This is already out on Windows and will be shortly on Mac.

OK, I made a copy of HIP, but I couldn't get to open right away.  Unfortunately, I did a few different things (like renamed the copy, moved the copy, closed the original, opened the copy, then reopened the original), so I don't know why I can now have both open at the same time when at first I couldn't, but it works, and now I'm able to quickly batch copy comments/narratives from one template to another....Thanks, Dominic!

Lol, at least you got it working. On Windows you can just click the shortcut twice, seems it's a bit harder on a Mac!

How do I open two copies of HIP? I am using a MAC.

Mac's don't like opening two copies of the same program. You can try to make a copy of the entire folder AND rename the Home Inspector Pro.app but there's no promises on how it'll work. Merge is probably a better bet.

You can't merge templates can you? Or can you? I was able to open two copies. I had to do it inside of The Finder. My desktop shortcut would not work. I made a copy of it in Finder and it opened them both. When I was done copying from one template to the other, I deleted the copy app.
