Nice looking report. Only have a few suggestions for your next ones.

Be careful when you are selecting where pictures go. The picture of the saddle valve
is not under the plumbing section which is where it is described. Cannot tell you how many times
I have gone back after reviewing report to change where the picture goes.

Some of your verbage in plumbing should have been in the defect area to make it in summary.
The leaks and drain issues are in black type instead of red.

Yeah I agree Jeff, I used that template, and didn't like it. I found it hard to follow and disorganized, but I didn't want to stop and switch. I will not use that template again. I will be posting my second report very soon.

David, Nice report .I started out about a year ago and I use the AHIT report , it takes me about 5 to 6 hours to do one report. Now that I have more business Im only able to do at the most, 3 or 4 inspections a week. I want to change to the HIP report soon. How long did it take you to learn to use it and how long did this report take you?

Tony it is my report not David's. It took me about 6 hours or so, but I was using a template designed by someone else and didn't find it user friendly. I have done a few more reports since this one and my time is getting shorter as I go. I am in the process of building my own template. I think once I get my template the way I want it, I will be able to get the report done in about 2 hours. That is my goal, then I will work to get it to an hour.

Tony, I think the lions share of your initial time is spent customizing the program. Once you have that done I feel an average report from 35 to 40 pages can be completed in 1 1/2 to 1 3/4 hours. The program is so customizable though, that you can pend hours on fonts, colors, print order, ect. That really is the beauty of this program.

If you change over, there are a number of us who use the program and post here who would be more than happy to help you out with template issues. Especially if you are in a jam, and need something fast.
