What I meant was, in my reporting, if there is a problem with a receptacle, beside the comment I make regarding the particular problem one(s) the program automatically prints "5C.77" which references chapter 5, comment .77 in the book.  They turn to that and it discusses all the various things that can go wrong with receptacles.  There are relevant pictures, diagrams, etc. 

Certainly, if someone had a copy of the book and wanted to reference it in the HIP program, that would be possible.  They would need to give a copy of the book (or the CD) to their clients.  All of that can be arranged in their reporting, of course, within the HIP format.  It would be less automatic, but I am reading how some of the guys are customizing their reporting.  So they could certainly customize various commentaries with book references.

I was NOT slighting the HIP programming Dom!  Nor promoting the one I use.

Jay , no problem, I knew what you meant Just didn't want guys to think they couldn't buy your book. I've seen quite a few guys doing exactly what you mentioned, adding references to books they've gotten through different sources. If you have a good book, some of the guys might be interested in doing that!
