No. Your parents' first cousins are your first cousins too, just removed by generations.

Second cousins would be your parents' first cousins who have children, your age. Your parents' first cousins are your first cousins, once removed. Their children are all second cousins.

It's those second cousins that get married so often here in Virginia...

Ahh that's how it works. I always thought you just had one set of first cousins. I knew my parents cousins kids were 2nd's. Now it's all clear
