I think Doug has it nailed. As to the valley, it depends on which direction the weave happens. Could you see a rubber membrane underneath the shingles?
That switch is in lieu of the one inside the whirlpool tub cavity. Beats having to get in there and testing it manually - they are often hard to get to! It's hard, of course, to tell what's under that window trim... I'll bet time will tell! |

Hey Jay
John said there was no whirplool tub. John: I see off/on and test /reset buttons in the switch pic. Were the bathroom receptical's your typical GFCI? Was there a light switch? Maybe its a combined GFCI for the plugs and a switch for the lights? I've never seen a fan protected by a GFCI I would be interested in knowing the real answer. Did your clients find anything out from the seller? Cheers |

The outlets had their own GFCI. These lil buggers were located down low on the wall. Heck, the one in the master bath was located in front of the toilet! lol I'll see if I can find out what they went to.

Is there an automatic photo-sensitive spot light for the rear or side yard? There might or might not be a traditional wall switch for those too. My front light has a photo-eye. The junction box is in the garage but there is a corresponding GFI in the basement. There is no switch for that light.
Actually I have seen those wall switches installed by the electrician because he did it on the previous house and had not read the plans that this house did not call for a whirlpool tub. He did it anticipating the whirlpool. No whirlpool, but extraneous GFI switch... If there is no whirlpool, I'd be interested to know what it covers. |

the switches appear to be a set up for a whirlpool tub
the roof looks OK but always good to have flashing or a underlay of some sort cannot have plastic TPR in NH the windows will eventually leak if they are not now I would call out for a IR inspection the intake in the attic never seen one like that before would call out to check manufactures install or local code |

You know I hadn't thought about them putting the GFCI's in just in case they put the whirlpool tubs in. That would make sense!
