Hi Doug
I was one of the guys Dom sent a message to. Sorry for the delay (out all day working) I use my template, its posted here on the MB. Might be called the Canadian Template. I follow the steps in the template and complete the report on site. I use a Fujitsu T4215 12.1 inch tablet PC (its a bit $$ but I've been using it for 4 years without a hitch) I used a cheap laptop when I first started. I print the report on site with a Canon IP100 printer and put my photos on a CD (I know Dom, its easy to import the photos right then but I'm sort of set in my ways) No problems have ever surfaced with clients or anybody else. I review the report with the client and I put the report into a binder. The client has it under their arm with the CD when we leave. Once in a while (not often) I see something that needs to be changed so I print again or just hand write the correction, according to the client's wishes. All I have to do when I get home is save the report to my thumb drive and external HD and snap the cap off a long neck or three. I also have the following in my agreement: "We reserve the right to to modify the report for a period of time that shall not exceed 48 hours after the report has been delivered to you" Never had to do that though.
