TOPIC: Condo/MultiFamily/Townhouse

Re: Condo/MultiFamily/Townhouse 14 years 5 months ago #33025

How do you generally obtain the bylaws?  Do you have the agent find them for you?  I imagine it could be sort of difficult to track these down.

I personnally never obtain the bylaws.

I do ask lots of questions when booking condos as I need to find out what all is being inspected and my prices vary big time.

I always inspect common area problems - wood rot, roof issues, window issues, etc.  The reason is that the client needs to know before buying just how attentive the association is to their maintenance charge.  If they are not on top of those things, they will not be on top of other problems or manage other problems as they come up.  The buyer should know that prior to purchase.  It should be part of their decision making.
