TOPIC: FHA Compliance Inspections

I've been working in Modesto about once a month.  On this trip my jobs are in Mountain House, Oakley, Manteca and Bakersfield.  I'm doing three today and will travel to Bakersfield and spend the night.  One more job in Bakersfield tomorrow, stop by the Murray Family Farm to load up on fresh fruits and veggies and back to the OC tomorrow afternoon.  I'll stop by a Starbucks after each of the jobs to upload the reports and photos to the lender and wha-la, my work for this trip is done...

Agreed, I normally get paid in under 30 days, I've got 4-5 pending right now that are past 30 days.  They normally cut all the checks for the venders when the escrow closes.  It similar to how we got paid in the old days.  When I started my business in the 80's we billed escrow on everything.  I had $17,000.00 in delinquent invoices out in 1990.  By about 1995, I had stopped offering escrow billing on about 95% of all my jobs.

Why doesn't the buyer just pay you? Why does the lender pay?

it's a FHA /Hud thing it is a closing cost item for the buyer on this type of loan

Ahh, government regulation....we need more of that.. but, I digress. Seriously though, do you just apply for this?
