You might want to look at Intuit GoPayment at gopayment.com/ . You can accept credit cards over your cell phone and if you enter the information manually the per transaction cost is 3.7% but if you have one of the phone that is approved they will give you a card swipe for free and the per transaction swipe goes down to 2.7%. You can even use an Android Tablet and an IPad. There's no contract and no termination fee and no required minimum monthly usage. You even have the capability of sending your client a text receipt and an email receipt. I don't use it very often but I do give my clients the opportunity to pay with a credit card where the other inspectors in my area don't and that has generated more business for me. Customer service is everything and the bottom line in important also.
