TOPIC: Rusty burners

REALLY RUSTY BURNERS--
The basement had flooded multiple times.

I just did a Berwyn Bungalow on sat and posted some of the issues on NACHI.
They had lots of water intrusion and a devise I never saw before as a backflow preventor.
Perhaps Berwyn has lots of town sewer issues Joe.

it would seem so yeah- i mean.. there was a definite line of water, and mold on the walls where you are positive there was prolonged and repeated flooding.

Yeah I had baseboard missing and active leaking at the center foundation crack.
The washer and dryer were on a plywood platform.

You could see a stain line about 10 inches up.

You could smell the moisture and a window crank crumbled when I touched it.

I emphasized it as my biggest concern plus the back flow devise was installed late 70's

Those places were built in the 50's and mine had the old bras flex line for a dryer plus drum trap under the tub ,so I bet yours may have been the same.
