TOPIC: Dedicated Report Server

Dedicated Report Server 15 years 7 months ago #10733

Sorry about the references to Inspectvue, but I think their report upload service is very effective. I always give the client and agent a paper with the web site and log on information. I never had any issuue with duplication, as I use variations of the street name as the Client name. My company name is always the password. Agents like the simplicity. Any thoughts of HIPro implementing a similar system?

Not really, I think ours is far more advanced to be honest (and so have many other InspectVue previous users that I've talked to).

You can log in and view ALL reports you've uploaded on one screen, for 5 years. All the client and agent info and the report is there.

You get an email with confirmation that you uploaded, and an email when the client or agent views the report.
The client gets a direct email, no password required. They click a unique link and view the report (less work for the client).

The FIRST time you use an agent they need to register, clear instructions are sent to them. They choose their OWN username and password. Every subsequent time you upload a report to them their username is sent to them as a reminder and a link to the site.

The agents can log in and view ALL the reports you've done for them. The guys have found this to be a big marketing tool. Agents don't need to print reports and they won't fill their inbox. All the client information, your information, the inspection address, etc for all reports is listed. Guys have told me they've locked in entire agent offices due to the office manager wanting everyone on the same system.

In a very short time (hopefully this week) when you upload a report you can select whether it's been paid or not and the client will get passed to a payment page or asked for you to unlock the report for them.

I've seen the InspectVue system at work and I've heard guys cussing on the other end as they try to figure out a password they can use. Why send the agent a new password for every report when they can just use one?

There are currently several thousand agents registered on the site. The last complaint was several months ago when some agents couldn't find the "Home Inspection Reports" link after they logged in. We resolved that by automatically taking them to that page. The only issue now comes from time to time when the agent gives the inspector one email address and registers with another. That's resolved one time. The agents information is stored in your Address Book in the program so you can't get it wrong more than once.

Log into the site with username demo and password demodemo and you'll see what I'm saying. The agents obviously won't see the delete button but they see all the other information. If you can tell me what about your former system was better, let me know. But as it is now we're adding more and more to this (logging online of viewed reports including IP address, payment processing which I talked about, forwarding reports and more!).

Also, don't forget, our PDF's average about 1.5 megs (you're previous reports probably averaged around 8). You can easily just email a PDF if you want. You don't have to use the upload service, it's just a tool available to you!

I forgot to add, one thing we are implementing is the ability for the reports to be retrieved via your website (well it will appear that way at least, they'll still be on our server). This will bring more cohesion to the process for your agents and clients.
