Hello,
I did an inspection of a new home that was not finished on the day of the inspection like it was supposed to be. I started the inspection on the iPad, then came home, uploaded to the cloud, downloaded to my mac desktop, and finished as much as I could on my desktop. There are a lot of areas that are simply checked as "not inspected". I will go back to inspect these next week. So, since there is no way to upload an inspection to the cloud from the desktop to continue working on it on my iPad, how do I finish the inspection once the house is done. I assume merge is the way, but am not exactly sure what merge does. Will I lose the work that I did on my desktop? I do still have the inspection on my iPad, but it is not anywhere near as complete as the report on my desktop, so I don't want to overwrite the desktop inspection with the iPad inspection, but will need to get the new information into the desktop inspection after I go back to finish. Thanks, Justin |

Hi Justin,
You can collect the new data and merge it into the old. |

So the new data that I collect will simply insert into the report that is saved on the desktop computer and that is the only information that will change?

That's correct. Feel free to test it out to see the results as well. Just save it as a new filename so you don't affect anything.

What is the best way to merge two reports from two different inspectors using hip mobile on site.

On the desktop. Open the first inspection, File->Import/Merge, select the second. Save as a new name.
