TOPIC: Creating documents

I create a separate document for every report I do its where I copy and paste my repairs as listed in red in the report where I add my prices for repair. What drives me crazy is I like to use double spacing a lot of time but when I create a PDF it scrambles the text in the document back to single spacing. Are the documents auto set to do this or do I have some unknown setting wrong

Another question I have there is a drop down box that directs the document where to be placed in the report as in the Summary at the beginning or not at all. Occasionally I get this document drop down box with the word summary as a default and I can not get rid of it with out deleting the whole document where is the correct setting for this

They're not set to auto do that but it can happen if you're copying text from Word or other programs. Are you reusing the document or clicking NEW each time and creating a new document?

I've never seen the drop down for placing documents not work. If nothing but summary is listed I'd guess that there were no sections in the report. If you can call us or jump on live chat next time that happens it'll be easier to diagnose as we'll be able to see it.

It does not matter where I copy text from but I usually just copy from the body of the report and I use a new document every time because I have to save the report for 5 years

Try a few lines being typed directly into the document editor and let me know if that works Charley.

Ok I did as you asked I typed a few sentences and double space them in a new document and when I created a PDF the double spaces remained.

But Wal-ah I discovered it is only the bullet list like in a repair list that the document will not allow double spacing

Ahh that makes sense as it's html being converted there to PDF format. I'll look into any way to change this.
