TOPIC: Graphic Feature Idea

Graphic Feature Idea 9 years 11 months ago #59855

I'm not sure if this has been discussed.

A permanent photo locker that has preloaded graphics assigned to narratives that will displayed when that narrative has been selected.

That would be a great time saver.

It is something that's been discussed a little bit. Some guys have a folder of their top graphics and batch add them each inspection and then assign the ones they want to use. Adding something automatically based on the narrative would take quite a bit of reconfiguring how the panels work but could be something we look into down the road.

That's how I do it now. I would use more graphics, but I don't want to preload too many because it takes time to go through them.

I know you can do it!

Ok, got it ;) Let me think over a way to do it and keep it simple.

I would really like to see this feature implemented.

Until there is a "locker" for graphics, which is a great idea, here is what I do to insert graphics in HIP Mobile: I have an "Inspection Graphics" folder in Dropbox. I download the graphics from there into my phone to a folder called Downloads (I think it is the default location and name for Android).

So, if I see an S-trap I take a picture of it and insert the caption. Then I can click the image button again to bring up the camera or graphics option, choose graphics, go to the Downloads folder, choose the S-trap diagram and caption it also.

As a heavy HIP user, Troy probably does something similar.
