My office manager Stefanie and I had a lil question...
She has my new Nokia Lumia 1580 series windows phone I've taken her out into the field lately a few times as she usually stays at the office. We have both noted the amazing camera this phone has sporting a zoom lens, Carl Zeiss glass and a flash the pics are superb. It's a BIG phone and slim as a dime....windows base... Why do I not have a mobile software that is up to par with this phone ? Why go android ? hell I'd be able to skip all the hassle and crap that comes with uploading compressed small , compromised pics to a cloud service and then having to finish them at a separate location or step. We need software that will allow us to do it all on this platform . Cmon Dom ...take the step . I can plug a 64 gig micro card into this phone and it's unlimited big robust pics ..upload to my email or ISN right from the phone in the field. How hard is it to adapt a android mobile interface to windows ? It sure would be nice... and the cloud is not needed any longer. I could have client's .pdf reports stored on my phone and available always . |

The Nokia is an excellent device!! The problem is that no one uses it.
Less than 5% of the mobile phone market uses Windows Mobile phones. At the last 2 conferences out of over 500 people there were 2 people using Windows phones (I asked in my talk both times). It makes no financial sense to spend a year of work to create a completely new app, around $200k in development time for the 10 guys that currently use Windows phones. Hopefully some day their market will increase. The cloud would definitely still be needed. The mobile platform is not the full Windows and the capabilities are still limited. You can store PDF's on Android and iOS devices too, the problem is the high quality generation. If you want to do it all on one platform there's a ton of awesome Windows tablets you can purchase! |

Kevin, use
smile.amazon.com/Polaroid-Cameras-Camcor...oid+led+light+iphone
. Quite a few guys are now and it works awesome for a flash on mobile devices.

Dom that's a lil gadget that I'll tear off or break in a day crawling in crawlspaces or entering a tight attic hatch
and it sure in the hell doesn't repair "The suck" factor that these cameras take a pic with the quality comparatively on par with a web cam. In my assessment unacceptable for my reports. |

You need to look harder. The Xperia? Z1S
www.sonymobile.com/us/products/phones/xp...a%7cxperia%20general
is 20 MP. That's a tad more than a web cam!!!
