TOPIC: Samsung android camera

I will have to look at the samsung android camera again.
Also thinking of getting the new Dell 8 inch windows 8.1 tablet so I can enter the info as I survey. Any idea when the search feature will be added to the HIP windows os, as per android.

I meant to ask you,

Are you only using the android phone / camera to take pictures and caption them on site as a data collection method.

or,

in addition, are you also using a larger android tablet (in conjunction with the smaller android camera phone / camera) to enter comments as you collect relevant data or do you wait until the inspection is completely finished and then merge the android phone / camera inspection (with captions and no comments) with the windows HIP software and add the main material and damage comments into the windows lab-top at this stage.

I use an Android phone and my assistant uses the Samsung Tab2. When we find an issue we go to the appropriate section of the report. We select the appropriate narrative or write it if need be, then we take the pic and caption it right then.

With a large narrative and caption library it is really speeds things up. At the end of the inspection everything is pretty much done. I upload my camera and his tablet to the cloud. I sync them with my base report and produce a report to proofread.

Mike it should not be.
I have the original for 2 years and the issue was corrected a long time ago.
The 2 is the same camera with a slightly bigger processor.

Mike, make sure you're using the latest version of HIP Mobile and have the latest Android update for that device. They had an update awhile back that took care of it as Bob mentioned (he's our tester with that device).
