Technically yes. You can edit the right hand side (after the = sign) of the MessagesBundles_en_us file in the Lib folder. This is used for translations in other countries but you could edit it too. Just make sure to save a copy of the file as it gets overwritten at each update so you'd need to copy the changes back.

Hmmm...I see that MessagesBundles_en_us.properties is a UNIX executable file, and my MacBook Pro has no app to open it. Plus, nothing except Read4Me was suggested at the "app store." Can I still edit that file?

OK, I just changed the extension from .properties to .txt in Finder using Get Info, and PI-YOW...opened it right up with Text Edit. I'll try making the change, then save it, then check it out in HIP.

Oh, I'd searched the forums for the answer to my original question, but I only found one thread where I think you'd said editing the Client Information might be an added feature in a later version of HIP.... |
