While completing a test inspection on our new Samsung Galaxy Tab2 the software freezes and will not reopen. It cycles back to the "open" screen over and over. I get as far as a blank screen in HIP Mobile and then it cycles back to the "open" screen. I have tried clearing the memory, closing the program and rebooting the device. Any ideas? Thanks and Merry Christmas!

Hi Karl,
What if after restarting or rebooting you click on Manage or Sync instead. Can you start another inspection? Also, have you updated to the latest version of HIP Mobile on Android? |

Merry Christmas, Dom. We figured it out partially. Once he got rid of the photos on the inspection, he was able to reopen the inspection, so it seems to be a memory issue with the Tab. Now we just have to figure out how to save the photos and the inspection to the SD card from within the inspection. Any thoughts? Thx Sue

If you connect the Tab to your computer via USB you can browse to the com.homeinspectorpro.mobile/inspections folder and batch add your photos from there. Try taking your camera down to 3 megapixels of less for the next inspection and make sure you're running the latest version of HIP Mobile from Google Play.

I just bought a Samsung Tab 2 16 gig and It freezes up, it just stops scrolling and won't respond. I have to shut it down and restart it. I tried turning off the Wi-Fi and it still does it. The only thing I loaded on it has been HIP mobile. I don't know if its a hardware or software problem. Any ideas?
Also I was told I could do the whole report on an HIP slate. Doe it use HIP mobile or the pc version? |

HP is a windows unit so it would be desktop version.
Darn I was just about to suggest taking off the wifi when sluggish and you beat me to it. One thing I have noticed is sometimes when there are updates,or other processes using lots of ram or whatever the issues you describe might occur but Dom knows more about that stuff. See if you can get the beta versions out as they seem to be doing better. |
