After testing the Mobile version out over the weekend, I like what I see so far. The big question I have is will you be required to send the reports through the cloud to convert over to the windows version? I have read over the site and all I can see is where it is to be sent to the cloud for transferring. I am really looking for a program I can use on my tablet (bigger buttons and all), take home and finish the report on my desktop. It is just so much easier for me to edit things on an, as my kids would call it, old fashioned computer.

That is exactly what Mobile is for Todd.
You do either the entire inspection or start it and when you get home it is there waiting for you. You have the option of doing it onsite also of course. You need to use the HIP desktop version with it anyhow as you do not upload the report directly to an PDF, email or printer from the phone. |

Yup, the cloud is just a way to transfer the data from Mobile to desktop. Many phones (and all iPhones/iPads) dont give you another option.

I am not trying to use it on a phone, I am using a tablet. So the only way I would be able to transfer my files is if i was at home using my wi-fi. So why transfer files to the internet when all I have to do is plug in a cord? I really like the way the desktop version is laid out, it makes it easily customisable and efficient. Is this something you will be looking into? I am looking at buying a new program by weeks end and I understand the mobile app is still in its infancy so I don't expect all the bugs to be a deciding factor.

Demo Demo if you had a slate or laptop there would be no issue.
What you are calling a tablet is not even capable of running a real operating system so you are asking for too much. A actual slate/tablet runs full windows and can easily handle the regular desktop version.(just go buy one). Basically you are asking Dom to have your VW compete in the Indy 500. The cloud is great once you understand it and I see no reason why anyone would want to keep plugging and unplugging then hunting and pecking and deleting all day. Must be old fashioned habits or something. HIP is a great software and I am sure he could do it where it loaded straight to an email but then it would no longer be like the desktop version and he would need to rename it from HIP to CR-P.LOL |

Not sure why I came up as DemoDemo, but I have been carrying a transformable notebook around for a couple years, I was just looking for something lighter and more portable. I Don't want to pay $240 a year just to transfer files. For that much I can take 5 seconds a report to plug in a wire. Unnecessarily spending company money... Sounds old fashioned to me!
