TOPIC: 1st Rport with HIP

So far, so good.  I've just managed to crank out my first real life inspection using HIP.  Does that make me a hippy now?   I've spent the last week tweaking the templates and building my own.  Good training for getting used to a new piece of software. Been running with 3-D for 6 years or more. Several thousand inspections on that one.

After only two "rerolls" I got it looking pretty sweet. All the pics in the right places and most of the comments where they should be.  The only issue I have now is that there are several blank pages at the end and a final page with just a bunch of small table boxes and nothing else.  Might have something to do with pictures at the end of the report?  I don't do that, they are in the body in the appropriate places.  Makes more sense to me that way.

This one came out to be a 50 pager.  About normal for me.

If you post a PDF or email it to me I can help you out. Very few people still use pictures at the end for an inspection report. More people use them for ancillary inspections (like 4 point inspections). Sounds like you have another document at the end though.

I was just getting ready to post and I was called to do an inspection. Called at 10AM, finished report and inspection by 4PM.

I have some thoughts on your report style. Give me sometime to look it over.

One area I would edit is have the master bedroom above the other bedrooms.

I personally dislike the look of the ratings and prefer a narrative style. You can easily create a folder with your convections and it would look much better.
