TOPIC: Ampersand & issue in HIP

When I use the Ampersand in documents there is no space between the ampersand and the word, ie &Merino, and I want it to be & Merino. I used the small edit button to try and add the space, but it doesn't work. I don't know if this was an issue before with anyone, but how do I correct it?

Yes. Haven't had time to look for a real fix yet as I'm trying to get 2.9 out asap. Add a   in the source code and that will force a space.

I tried that and after I enter it and exit from the source code the space is blank. I go back to the source code and the characters have been changed to  . Not sure why.

I was having the same issues with ampersand, I accidentally hit the source code button which is invisible on my mac version (totally different issue) and HTML coded & # 3 8 ; (no spaces in between otherwise is won't show here) it seemed to take care of it.
