TOPIC: Update details

I'm ready to buy but I have a couple of questions.

I down loaded the tril version about 6 or 8 weeks ago should I remove it and down load again to get the latest version?

What is the update policy? Are they included and if so for how long?

Your Trial version is the same as the paid version, the only difference is the licensed name and company have a generic name, and it prompts you about the evaluation when you open the program. After you license the program, you can keep using your current installation, no changes are necessary. We provide you with a file that adds your licensed name to your install, you then continue doing your inspections.

Updates are included as part of your license. Dominic is continually developing the program, including changes based on his ideas, but especially with input from guys like you. Right now a new version is in beta testing with a number of inspectors ( www.homeinspectorpro.com/inspector-forum...-Feature-Discussion/ ) trying out the new features. After this is released, you can even update your evaluation version to try these changes out.

Just to add a bit more to that. All updates between versions, i.e. 2.x to 3.x are free and usually occur every few months. As Dan pointed out theirs often new beta versions on the website that haven't been emailed out to everyone yet. You never need to uninstall the program (you can even install an older version over a newer one). There's about 2.5 to 3 years in between a full version upgrade. The full version upgrades are free to people using our website hosting & upload service, to those who bought in the last 6 months, or those on the lease plan. This covers about 60% of users. No matter what the program never stops working and you have lifetime free tech support. If you're not in one of the free groups, the upgrade to 3.x would be $250 if you choose to upgrade.
