The password I am entering for my .PDF security is no longer working but I haven't changed it.
I know what the password is because I saved it in my password manager program but i'm trying to de-personalize a .pdf so I can put it on my website as a sample report and the password isn't working. 1. Anyone have any idea what is going on? 2. Where do you set the password that is used in the program. I found the SECURITY tab under options but it doesn't have a password option. Thanks. |

Hi Robert,
Only we have the password to unlock the PDF's (if we released it then eventually clients might get a hold of them and be able to edit a secured pdf file). The password set for the PDF is only for editing. You can turn off the security on the tab you want and then generate the report, but this isn't advised as it allows others to edit the PDF with Acrobat Pro. Just save your inspection as a new file name (Save Inspection). Then change everything you want and generate the report again! |

Got it... thanks! No wonder I was confused. I obviously set this password for something else!
Thanks for the quick answer. |
