TOPIC: New HIP release

Hey Dominic, I'm ready to dig into making my own report template, but, I'm wondering how soon the new version is coming out?  Maybe I should wait for the latest and greatest??

Hi Joe,

No reason to wait as new updates will never affect your existing templates except to add new features. There's nothing new being added to the template editor. The only thing being added along those lines is the ability to have drop down boxes inside of narratives. We've had a few very large projects going on right now (with HIP and Websites) plus the ASHI conference next week that's been taking up a lot of time. There are several features I'd like to finish for the new version but they've been taking longer than I hoped and I don't want to hold back the next release too much longer. I'm aiming for the end of the month right now. We are going to have a new version released for Inspection Support Network members in the next few days that I can release to anyone else who wants it. It only has a few of the new updates, most are disabled as they aren't complete yet.

Could you please note for a new version to make the Nachi SOP, Texas, Canada seperate folders as it is time consuming to keep deleting the same files over and over again that I do not need.

Probably won't make it into this release as it requires rewriting the installer, but will try for the next one. Can't do separate folders but what we'll do is have an option page during the install where you can check on/off different templates & documents.
