Yup! It run a full version of XP or Windows 7. You can write 4-5 words on the screen at once rather than just one letter with auto correction if a letter isn't written right. The CTL2go is a little more popular and rugged. A 9" screen is much easier to tap on than a 2.5"!

Hey Joe I can vouch for Dominic's HIP. This program is easily to adapt to for creating your reports! If you have any questions or problems, Dominic is always there to walk you through with them. For $150.00 discount, this is a great deal for the 24/7 program. Get away from the PDA! [quote author=Dominic Maricic link=topic=1727.msg24486#msg24486 date=1258794255 No phone I've seen yet has a good enough flash for the purposes of inspection photos, though they're getting there. You'd have to use a laptop, tablet, or desktop running mac, windows or linux (only use if you know how linux works). PDA's are not supported. Guys used the PDA version for a few months and junked them. A tablet costs almost the same as a PDA now so it didn't make sense to continue developing an entirely separate program for a device very few people use. You could always buy HIP on a payment plan and you get $150 off until Christmas. From what you're paying in monthly fees right now, you'll quickly break even. Many guys with the tablets are finishing their entire report, including photos, on site. Others spend a few minutes at home reviewing and finishing. When you're saving an hour or two per inspection, you'll be saving a bundle. No time to sleep. Too many new features to add! [/quote] |

Joe I was a Horizon user before I started using HIP.
I remember begging Dom to add colored tabs because I was so used to the tabs in Horizon and I only wanted HIP as a backup. (that is why we have color border control) This was a few years ago and since them HIP has gotten so good with pic downloading, fonts, etc that I do not see myself looking elsewhere. I just got to play with the t91 enough to know it is very light and easy to handle this past Thursday when a association member brought it out for me to see. I am sure you could use it while walking around. Personally I wait till back at the office. |

Joe,
I've used several different software programs in the past. Last year I was looking for software that had to be 'client friendly.' Luckily HIP is also inspector friendly. When you can customize your template on the fly and upload pictures (I average 60-70 pics per report) in seconds you save a tremendous amount of time on the report process. I still complete mine back in the office but will be purchasing the CTL2go as soon as their site allows me. The support for HIP is above anything/anyone else- Dominic responds immediately to answer questions and 'cries for help.' The investment is worth it--you'll get the payback fast in the amount of time you will save. Bob- |
