TOPIC: Ram needed to properly operate HIP

It has been a year or so that I have been using HIP.

I had been using a tablet with only 526 MB of Ram.  I was having numerous issues with photos, virtual memory, corrupt reports, time lost uploading and being generally frustrated.

So the pea of a brain I have left finally figured out that I was operating with to low of memory (Ram)

Now many months ago Dom had looked up Ram for a old desktop unit. So I decide to try this with HIP. It has I believe a little over 1MB of Ram.

It runs unbelievable nice!!  No more 30 minute uploads, no more corruption. I am down to about an hour per report at home. (I do a lot of dinking around with adding illustrations and lookup stuff)

Now in regards to this old tablet. I update this from 526MB to 2 MB. It was not to bad to install the cards.

So with this said I would like to humbly apolagize to Dom for all the issues I had that basically were from to low of Ram.

So any one operating with less than 1MB of Ram go purchase some updated cards and you will be amazed how nice the program works.

Large reports with 100 photos downloads in less than 2 minutes.

So now I save at least 2 hrs a day on report time.

Who knows maybe next summer I will try 3 inspections in a day to really test out the reporting software.

Also I have had agents call, refer clients to me, sellers hire me all due to the HIP report.

The results are averaging an inspection a day for the last 3 weeks. Many referrals from using HIP.

One of these days I will get back to the SEO link exchange. 

I had to take today off to work on the yard and just get away. (I still need to retrieve a radon test today but that and office work are part of my days off)

By the way my template is getting there.

How do you have your Exterior wall construction, exterior covers(Like an enclosed patio or metal roof over an open structure set up on your template?

Glad to hear that everything is running smoother now When you have an older machine and other programs that are auto starting with your computer, that extra ram can make a huge difference!

I am still laughing after our conversation this afternoon.  I did everything to the kids computer to speed it up.  It worked on every other computer.  Why not his.....  Until you asked me how much RAM he had, it never entered my mind to check.  I mean I only built it 8 years ago.  OK, so he upgraded from Win98 to XP.  Runs iTunes at start up.  Cmon now, 256MB of RAM is enough for anybody, right?  LOL.

Did you end up finding new ram for it? I bet it ran 100x better after!

New Egg had one with a rebate and free shipping.  1 GB for this computer.  $26 after rebate.  Shipped already.  Should get it Monday.  The kid could only laugh.

1 GB of ram will be MUCH more suiting
