Was looking for some roofing info on my laptop and had your tab up. Asked what it was and I told them about this and a few other inspection boards. Said it was cool we had so much info sharing going on.

We're all newbies every day.  The day I think I know everything there is to know about inspections is the day I need to find something else to do.

Geez, Ian, sounds like another day in the park to me...  well, plus the hot chocolate and convenience store donut ... donuts ... okay, box of donuts.

My first one yesterday had to be done early because the client only had time to stop by at 830 to pick up the report and then go to work.  I arrived at just before 530, did the inspection and had the report.  She didn't show.  No realtor to call.  He didn't have time to meet us there (read that, he couldn't get the heavy mattress off his back).  She left me a message at 815 saying she wanted to move on and not to worry about getting her the report.  I called her and told her just to mail me the check.  Later, after she learns she can't get out of the contract WITHOUT the report, she wants me to go here or there to get it to her.  I was busy the rest of the day and would not be done until around 8, and no where near her.  I told her if she wanted the report she would have to come by my house to get it.

She did...  showed up when I got home at 9ish.  I live no where near her or the house.  Pays to show up when you say you want to show up!  I will be there!

Got my money and went to bed.

Ian, as far as realtors putting you in your place with language - we teach people how to treat us by what we allow them to do.  If someone starts out talking like that I cut them off, and tell them that if they can't use big-people talk to wait until they can.  Then I walk away.  I have no patience for people with 11 word vocabularies and the emotional make up of a 7th grader...

You can always get out your 1 million candle light, point it in her direction and let your light so shine!  Works for me...
