The template I created with HIP has, in my opinion, everything I might see in an inspection.

Entry / foyer/ hall, master bedroom - 4 bedroom, master bath - 2 full bath & a 1/2 bath, attic / basement - finished or unfinished / foundation, kitchen, living room, dining room, spare room, laundry room, stairs, home exterior, garage, grounds, pool area, roof, electrical, HVAC, water heater, and gas.

Doing this I usually don't have to add anything and if I do Dom made it easy just hit one of the edit buttons and there it is.

In the report setting / options - Layout tab I check the first box: "Print report pages continously. Do not give each section its own page." This way I don't waste any space. And in the Item Options tab I uncheck the box: "Print items even if there are no comments selected." So if I don't use a certain section it dosen't go in the report.

A 2000 sq. ft. home report is roughly 25 pages with about 15 pics.

I also don't use any boarders, the only colors I use in the report are black & red and the colors of my logo and color for pics. this way I don't waste Ink and it prints reasonably quick.

I follow this and I usually do an inspection in about 2 1/2 hours for 2,000 sq. ft.
