Jay, What we carry up here will keep the ladies busy.   

We have access to what you guys have but next to impossible to obtain and get a carry permit, you have a better chance of colonizing mars. That may be a bit different in Alberta. Personally a long time ago I had a browning 9mm military issue. That is long gone. Just have long guns now.

We also have a socialist Toronto city council in power now that has basically shut down all public shooting ranges, and is on it's way to banning all hand guns in the city and will then work on the long guns. Our poor Olympian shooters have no place to practice now.

Gerry, I know Canada has always relied on the US for its national defense, and I don't want to be surprised by what you carry up there, but...  what do you carry?

It fires Long Colt 45 bullets and 410 shot gun shells.  Went to the range and shot the shells.... Damn it fills the target everywhere!!!  lol  Then you have the bullets.... WOW  shooting a rifle round from a hand gun!  Sucka kicks pretty good but not as bad as I thought it would.

My work horse is just a plain ol Glock 23.  That's the one I put all the rounds through.  My next purchase is gunna be a Kimber for my conceal gun.  Man those guns are sooooo nice!  Only thing I don't care much for is the grip safety doesn't go all the way in.  It makes it a hair bit uncomfortable.

Gerry - they let you have a Bushmaster, for example, but not hand guns?  So, what do the criminals use?

I looked into a Bushmaster Carbon-15 16" a couple of years ago, but never did get one.

John - my scouts like my Glock the best of all the weapons we take to the range.  Less kick, lighter and they like the way the sites line up.

LOL  Ya no kidding.  Keys.... Guns.... Hmmmm  Anyway, back to guns!  lol 

If you ever get a chance, go rent an XD, they are VERY similar to the Glocks but comes with all the safeties.  The #1 reason I liked it so much was the comfort of holding it.  My hands are big so I didn't want to hold a gun with the bottom part of my palm hanging off the grip.  The tactical version does have a little more kick to it than a Glock, but if you get the regular version they have a shorter spring in it and kicks about the same as a Glock.

That .45 Taurus in your link has the ability for a custom fit hand grip.  I always put a custom on it when I can...  I have fat Hungarian peasant hands so the grip is very important.

You know I hadn't even looked into that.  If and when I get spare money again, I may just go talk to the gun shop about that.  lol  :-[
